Sinead Connolly

Director and Founder

Setting up Lotus People in 2015, Sinead holds a Bachelor of Commerce and over six years’ experience in the recruitment industry. Driven to provide a superior, personalised unique recruitment service, Sinead uses her experience within the industry and her passion for people to run Lotus and create a supportive, collaborative and hardworking team culture. Winner of the Young Entrepreneur at the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce Awards 2017, Sinead was rewarded for her commitment to delivering a unique experience in the recruitment industry. Sinead is the Queen of multitasking so when she isn’t running Lotus, she is cooking up a storm in the kitchen, finding the best new restaurants in Sydney, taking her camera out on day trips and fostering kittens for the Cat Protection Society.

Sara Cornwall

Team Manager – Permanent Recruitment

With a Masters in International Business and a career within some of Sydney’s leading medical colleges, Sara commenced her recruitment career in 2014, and hasn’t looked back. Sara joined Lotus in February 2016 as a senior consultant, and is well equipped to provide industry expertise and knowledge to our valued clients within Education, Membership Bodies, Associations and Healthcare, across a range of roles. In mid-2017, Sara was promoted to team manager where she leads and manages a successful and busy team of 5. In her spare time Sara loves to practice yoga, photograph sunsets and is partial to the odd glass of cider.

Jessica Kniaz

Recruitment Consultant – Temporary Recruitment

With a BA majoring in HR, Jess has always had an interest in the recruitment industry. After a stint of travelling, Jess joined the team as Lotus’ first team administrator in early 2016, and soon progressed into a recruitment consultant role on the temporary team. Jess has thrived in just a few short years at Lotus; rapidly growing her desk, providing support and guidance to new team members and applying her stellar operational skills to all things process and database management. With her calm demeanor and considered approach, Jess is invaluable as our longest standing consultant on the temporary team. In her spare time, you will find Jess frequenting music gigs, bush walking and travelling at home and overseas.

Kelsey

Kelsey Westwood

Candidate Manager

With a background in supporting a busy sales team for a global recruitment agency, Kelsey joined Lotus to support team manager, Sara, and the wider permanent team with candidate management. In early 2016, Kelsey returned home to Sydney from travelling and living overseas and was keen to secure a role in a business that aligned with her values. Since starting with Lotus, Kelsey has proven herself to be a completely invaluable resource – we can’t remember what we ever did without her! Proactive, considerate, resourceful and a bright, sunny energy, Kelsey goes above and beyond to support the team. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys playing soccer, being in the outdoors and finding the hidden gems of Sydney.

Sham

Sham Hassan

Recruitment Consultant – Permanent Recruitment

With a strong background in Executive support and a degree in English Literature, Sham left the UK to travel and relocate to Sydney. In 2016, she joined the Lotus team as a team assistant and quickly became intrigued by all things recruitment. Progressing from a team assistant role to candidate manager, Sham supported the temporary and permanent teams with all candidate support and engagement – allowing her to become very familiar with the recruitment process on both sides. Naturally progressing in the business, Sham was soon promoted to a recruitment consultant position and now thoroughly enjoys managing her own client base, along with continuing to work closely with the rest of the team to source high calibre candidates. In her spare time, you’ll find Sham discovering the latest music at gigs and festivals and exploring Sydney’s best beaches.

Michelle Barrett

Recruitment Consultant – Temporary Recruitment

Having moved to Sydney in 2012, Michelle started working in business support recruitment in 2014. With a background in administration and a diploma in customer engagement, it seemed like a natural next step for Michelle. With a passion for helping people, building strong relationships with clients and candidates and working in a methodical, thorough way, Michelle is already a duck to water in the office. Joining the team in 2017, Michelle brings passion, drive and enthusiasm to the Lotus office and we are so happy to have her. In her spare time, you’ll find Michelle playing with her cat Tony, wandering around the inner west on the weekends or socialising with friends.

Nicolina

Nicolina Bosnic

Recruitment Consultant – Temporary Recruitment

With a Bachelor degree in International Business and a background in career advisory and recruitment in the UK, Nicolina arrived in Australia in 2014, spent 18 months travelling and then started working in office support recruitment for a large global business. In 2017, Nicolina decided to make the move to Lotus and she has instantly become a perfect addition to the team. With a passion for people and a proactive and energetic nature, Nicolina’s dedication to client and candidate service aligns perfectly with Lotus’ values and Nicolina brings a fantastic energy to the Lotus office. In her spare time, you’ll find Nicolina planning weekends away and cooking up a storm in the kitchen!

Robbie Reid

Recruitment Consultant – Permanent Recruitment

Originally from Ireland, with a degree and Masters in Business Administration and over four years’ management experience in retail, Robbie is our very first Lotus lad! With a natural interest in the HR and recruitment sector, Robbie wrote his dissertation on the effects of corporate culture on attrition rates and is excited to apply this knowledge to the world of recruitment. Intelligent, switched on and energetic, Robbie is a natural Lotus fit and is a fantastic addition to our growing team. In his spare time, you’ll find Robbie swimming laps or checking out the latest music at Sydney’s gigs or festivals.

Having completed her degree in 2015, Chloe decided to relocate from Ireland to Sydney to start her career. After temping for a global business support agency, she was offered a position where she spent over one year placing office support candidates. Chloe is completely service driven in her approach, focused on supporting people and building strong relationships with her clients and candidates, making her a perfect fit for team Lotus. Thriving in fast paced environments, Chloe is committed to providing a seamless experience to everyone she deals with and in her spare time, you’ll find her exploring all that Sydney has to offer with friends!

Originally from Canada, Maritza has spent the last three years chasing the sun around the globe, but is now happy to call Sydney her home. With a Bachelor of Commerce degree and experience in Financial Services, Maritza has spent the last year and a half as a Finance recruitment consultant for an international agency. Eager to join a company whose values aligned with her own, including putting an emphasis on building relationships, Maritza is thrilled to be a part of the Lotus People family and determined to deliver exceptional service. She has a passion for giving back, staying active, walking her fur baby, and indulging in Acai bowls.

With a background supporting a busy team for a global recruitment agency, Lana comes highly recommended to Lotus. Joining the temporary team in a team assistant role, Lana will support with all administration, candidate management and recruitment support. After spending a year travelling and living overseas, Lana is really excited to be back in Sydney starting her career with Lotus. Instantly, we knew Lana would be a perfect Lotus fit and we are really excited about having her on board! In her spare time, you’ll find Lana by the beach or keeping fit and healthy outdoors!
