Welcome to the Team – Ruth and Alice

November has been an exciting month for Lotus; celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, team incentives and welcoming our newest team members, Ruth and Alice.

Supporting Michelle and the wider temporary team in the candidate manager position, Ruth has already become a go-to for our temporary candidates. With a background and degree in social work, Ruth has always gravitated towards working with, and helping people. In October, Ruth took the brave step to pack up her life and make the move to Sydney from Auckland to begin her recruitment career with Lotus.

“Coming from a background where I studied and practiced as a social worker, finding a company whose values aligned with my own was of utmost importance. I knew that I was exactly where I needed to be when I found Lotus People. The company’s values and principles of respect, empathy and honesty, as well as the amazing overarching company culture made me feel at home – despite being far from it!”

In just one short month Ruth is proving to be a natural at recruitment. Her intuitive thinking and kind, attentive approach to candidate engagement makes her a very welcomed addition to the temporary team.

Arriving straight from London, Alice is the newest addition to the Lotus family. Referred by our own, Daisy Martin, Alice joins the perm team as an experienced business support recruiter and will be working with our clients across the commerce, tech, media, advertising, construction and engineering industries. Having worked in award winning agencies in London, Alice is no stranger to the recruitment world and has an innate ability to perfectly match the right person with the right environment. Alice acts with integrity and holds herself to very high standards, making her the perfect Lotus fit.

“When joining a new agency it was so important that I chose somewhere that truly valued their employees and, from the moment I interviewed, it became evident how much Lotus truly supports their team and invests in their amazing culture. Everyone was so welcoming and genuine throughout my entire interview process and instantly made me feel like part of the team. Additionally, being part of an organisation that is respected in the market amongst both clients and candidates for ensuring a high level of candidate and client care is really important to me and this was evident in the endless list of awards Sinead and the team have won.”

We are thrilled to see our Lotus family grow by two and look forward to supporting Ruth and Alice in the next stage of their recruitment careers.
