Sinead Connolly on HR Leader: "Applications are up – how to manage the load fairly and equitably"

Seeing through the candidate's eyes

Our Co-Founder and Director Sinead Connolly was invited by HR Leader to share her thoughts on the increase in job applicants SEEK has consistently seen across Australia in the last months, and how this can affect internal recruiters when going through candidates, given the time needed to review all applications.

She shared: “As applications are increasing, it is essential that organisations have the processes in place to guarantee a positive candidate experience.

“Your brand in market as an employer is a result of how you make people feel throughout the process. Whether you lean on technology to automate the process or have no processes in place, now is the time to create that workflow, understand the different candidate touch points and ensure that your hiring managers are trained on best candidate experience practice. Businesses who make this a priority thrive and businesses who don’t will lose out,” observed Ms Connolly.

With this, it is important for hiring managers to see the process through the candidate's eyes and understand the different touchpoints they have to be able to deliver the best experience, which is something that we highly value here at Lotus People.

We continuously innovate with new tools, improve our processes, and find ways to deliver the best client and candidate experience to everyone we work with!
