Starting the new year off on the right foot – 6 simple work habits to incorporate into your daily routine

These 6 work habits will help you to get your day started in the right direction and make your goals easier to accomplish. All you need is a little discipline and motivation to make the above habits consistent.

1.Write a list

In the evenings, make a list of things to do the next day and stick it in a prominent place so that they can be attended to the next morning when you arrive at work.

2.Set Daily Goals

Set achievable daily goals for yourself and ensure they are completed by the end of the day. This will drive motivation and productivity.

3.Focus on the Job At Hand

Instead of taking on too many tasks at one time and not completing most of them, concentrate on one job at a time and finish it off as quickly as possible.

4.Set Priorities

High priority projects should also be done first – and then look into the lower priority jobs.

5.Resolve Not To Procrastinate

If possible, get large tasks over with early in the morning, when you are still fresh and energetic.

6.De-Stress Yourself at Work

Take short breaks during the day – not to do any work, but to think about your short & long-term goals and the steps needed to achieve them.
